Meet Our Pastor

Hello!
 

I wanted to take a quick moment to introduce myself. My name is James Noreau, and I have the privilege of being the pastor of Anchor Baptist Church!

My family has been in St. Lawrence county for several generations. My father was in the military and settled in Chesapeake, VA, which is where I was born and raised. Each summer, we would come up to the North Country to visit family, and I grew to love it here. Around the age of 14, I knew God would have me come back to the area and be involved in ministry.

I studied at Crown College of the Bible in Knoxville, TN. It was there that I met my wife, Angela. I finished my Masters from Crown and then moved to Maine to work at Living Word Baptist Church, which is now my sending church!

My family and I are thrilled to be here in Potsdam, and we are relishing the opportunity to meet the community. Please do not hesitate to call, text, or email me with any questions.
